New Beginnings :)

Hey Ya'll,

Just wanted to say that I have lost another 3.8 lbs!  I am now down to 205.0!  It looks like I will be able to make onederland by Christmas!!

Last night my DH, made me walk the block with him again.  It appears that this is going to be a nightly ritual.  It isn't so bad once we get going, except for the cold.  I really don't want to walk before dark, I would rather walk after dark so no one can see me too clearly, which makes it colder.  Hopefully by Spring, I will look better walking.  Because of my hips, I walk funny.  I am hoping with the weight loss, it will help me to walk better & in less pain.  If only our walk was somewhere peaceful & pretty like this!

Well, I better go for now, we have to clean up the house for our Thanksgiving guests.  My DH (Walt) will be doing most of the cooking.  He will deep fry one of the turkeys & rotisserie another (yum).  Then make mashed potatoes, gravy & corn.  Our friend Courtney is bringing a ham (yum), & Carolyn (Walt's ex-wife) will bring a green vegetable & some pumpkin pies.  I'm not sure if we will have anything else though.  Others may bring something that I am not aware of.  Right now I am not up to decorating the house for Thanksgiving.  However, I do intend to decorate for Christmas (my favorite holiday)!

By the way, a big shout out to Courtney!  If you are reading this, Happy 26th Birthday today!!!

Well, I guess I better go for now.  Everyone have a fantastic THANKSGIVING!!!

Aloha My Friends  :)

Thanks Cara! But we will see tomorrow! I am not going to be a very good girl tomorrow. I know that I can't eat a lot at one time, but I am sure that I will eat a small amount several times! But all in all, it will be much less than I would have eaten had I not had the surgery!!

You're doing so awesome, starting with the liquid diet and now you're just melting away! Your Thanksgiving dinner sounds like it's going to be very good, I've heard that fried turkeys are the way to go. I got my husband a turkey fryer so he could use it to boil crawfish and we've talked about doing a turkey in there. You'll have to let us know how it is! Have a wonderful turkey day!

Thanks Robyn, the turkey done in the turkey fryer is fabulous! But you must use the proper oil or you will have a big problem! I believe it is peanut oil we use as it can go up to a much higher temperature. I can find out for sure if you want to know later. But the deep fryer seals in the juices so well. It is never dry!
