1 Day To Go!! I'm On My Way!!

It's One Day Away!!  Yippee!!  Is it Christmas?

Hey Y'all,

I am writing this late at night before I go to bed as I am not too sure how much time I will have in the morning before we leave & I want to post.  If I do have time, I will post a quickie in the am on our way out of the house.  My DH is bringing his Laptop Computer with us so I will check in tomorrow night to let you know how my appointment with the Surgeon went.  I will also try to post the day of Surgery (if I feel up to it???).

Can you believe this?  Since my Mother-In-Law found out that we will be in the Reno area this week, she invited us to lunch at one of the Casino/Buffets.  I think I mentioned in an earlier post how my Father-In-Law was recently diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the Liver.  He is not doing well, & my MIL believes that he probably won't make it through the Winter season.  So she called up his sister in So Cal & convinced her that if she wants to see him before he passes, she better come up.  So this is a gathering of the family.

Unfortunately, it is the day AFTER my SURGERY!!  I told my DH that if I am not feeling up to it, he can go without me, but that I would try to make it.  What do you think my chances are of feeling up to going to a Buffet & sitting for a couple of hours watching everyone eat?  Do you think I should attempt it or stay in the room & crash?

Well, I better go for now, I needs me some sleep before the long drive in the morning.

Aloha My Friends  :)

Here's how I felt the day after surgery:

"Home from the hospital about noonish.

Feeling OK. A little sore. A lot gassy but surgery gassy not stomach gassy."

Thanks Julie! That means that I should be really gassy about the time we are supposed to be at the Buffet! I totally forgot about that! That could be a bit embarrassing! Not being able to control myself. But probably more so in pain from the gasseousness! Something to think about...LOL

I would wish you good luck, Debi, but you're not going to need it. You'll fly through the surgery and you'll do fine at the other end. We are here for you - to answer any questions, to let you blow off steam (or gas haha). Take care of you - it's your time!!
WHOOO so exciting.

Honestly, if it was me, I wouldn't even attempt it...but you never know how you will feel. You can always come back and visit in a few weeks and see your father in law. I plan on being doped up and on the couch the day after my surgery!

Hope everything is smooth sailing!

thanks for commenting on my blog! And thanks for the compliment - I wish I felt all young! LOL. I felt pretty good the next day. It depends I think on how you feel that day - some people do/feel better than others. I personally felt fine - I actually flew home from the West coast to the East coast the next day b/c I felt fine. I was pretty tired though - but not sure if that was more influenced by the flying (it always wears me out even when I'm in top shape) or the surgery or both. I say decide the day of depending on how you feel. And good luck - you're going to do great!
