Well, I just read a fellow Bandster's post and she could really use some good ole Bandster/Sisterhood support! She has almost completed her Pre-Op Nutritional requirement, so she is almost at the point where they can get her Surgery approved and a date set! The name she is using in her blog is, Aunt Janet. And the link to her blog is, That's How I Roll.... Please check out her blog and give her the support she is asking for!! Thanx everyone!!
Now, I took some photos of myself today showing my new hairdo. This is more like what my hair will look like on a daily basis! As I can't work my hair with the blow dryer, curling iron like Roxanne did!! Anyhoo, here are the photos that I took this am.
This was taken in my office. Sorry about the jackets in the background!
Now if only I could lose the double, or is it triple chins!!
Well, I gotta go, got lots of work to do, and so little time to do it in!! Till next time.
Aloha My Friends :)

Looks good and pretty easy, too! I'm right there with ya on not being able to replicate what they do in the salon. But truth be told - I can stand big fluffy here on my head! I like the simpler calmer hair! Must be because of where we grew up. :)
Nobody can get their hair to look like when they walked out of the salon. I have this cool hot air brush/dryer that helps me a lot. I find it hard to use a dryer in one hand and a brush in my other - this is both in one and works great. (Vidal Sassoon 1.5" Hot Air Brush Styler/Dryer - VS432C) You can get at Target.
Debi, the 'do looks great. Enjoy the simplicity!
Oh, I forgot. Thanks for letting us know about Aunt Janet. I'll check her out.
I tried leaving a comment on Aunt Janet's blog, but it wouldn't take it. Have you been able to comment?
Thanks everyone! And thanks Bonnie for the information on the Vidal Sassoon. I had never tried one before, but I may have to invest in one.
Love the new hair :-)
Another thing that can make it easier to keep up your 'do' is a hair straightner.
If you get one of the thin ceramic kind you can pretty much make your hair go in any direction you want without having to worry about the blow dry
Thanks Work In Progress! But my problem is not to straighten my hair, but to try to get at least some body to it!
My hair is naturally super straight! The only reason I have any curl right now is because of my perm. Although it has been about 6 months since my last perm.
So I will either let it go straight, or start to blow dry it, trying to get some body as I don't want to perm it (or color it for that matter) for awhile, since I am losing my hair at the moment!! I don't want to add further damage to it right now.
It takes me an hour to make my hair look like it looks like after a saloon visit. They explained to me in detail how to blow dry it and I bought the same dryer and brushes the use at the saloon. But I do not have the time to fix my hair for an hour every morning ;-) I rather spend that hour sleeping.
Your hair looks great and is probably easy to handle.
Thanks for sharing Aunt Janet's blog, will visit her blog as well.
Looks good and very easy to mange which is the most important thing to me :-) You are looking great. Keep up the good work
Debi -
Thanks for info about Aunt Janet's blog. Hopefully she won't think I'm nuts when she sees 2 comments saying exactly the same thing. :)
Great cut~ enjoy it!! I understand the short cut thing, my dh feels the same... but I kinda like my hair long as it is right now.
Glad you've got your freedom !!
