Borrowed Idea From Alexis!! National Delurking Day!!!

Hey Ya'll,

I was reading others blogs, trying to get caught up & found a great idea on Alexis's blog, "The Swenson Family".  I am quoting her, as she explains this idea so well!!  "Did you know that today is National Delurking Day?  Well, it is.  For those of you who that don't know, it means that if you are a regular (or even not so regular -- heck even if I don't know that you read my blog) reader of my blog, leave me a comment and say hello!  I'll also open it up even further and open it to questions.  Yep.  Ask me anything you want (well...try to keep it PG-13 or so).  You can ask me anything about my band, my life, whatever you may have been curious to know about me, and I will respond with my answers in my next post".

So please feel free to leave a comment, even those that read my blog but have never commented on it.  Even if you are not a follower per say.  I would love to know that you are out there & I will answer any & all questions asked.  :)

Still not much happening here right now, except that my DH is trying to gather information with his sister regarding a Memorial for my FIL to be held next month here locally, so my FIL'S friends could attend that wanted to.

Also, my DH & I have been trying to walk at least a mile every night!!  I bought my Nioxin products as well as my Zinc & Biotin.  I started my Zinc & Biotin yesterday & I started my Nioxin shampooing today.  Here's hoping that it works!!

Well, I better go for now, till next time!

Aloha My Friends  :)

Debi,

Thanks for telling me your Fibro story. Just like with the band, I really don't know anyone with Fibro, either. And, you have both! I am so lucky to be able to work. I had to switch from the OR to a desk job, and that's the only reason I think I'm still employed. 2008 was such a challenge, I was in so much pain and so fatigued, I'd show up to work, rarely on time, and sometimes did nothing because I just couldn't. My husband was having to take care of me, the kids, the house, and work! So not fair to the hubbies, I know the guilt you felt. And, I was so frustrated because it was very difficult to find anyone who wanted to work with chronic pain... and I have resources! I know who to ask! Anywho, it's a sore subject that part of it. But, antidepresants, sleep meds, losing weight, getting my thyroid under control, and psychoanalysis, have all really helped. I can work just fine- I'm kicking ass in fact. I still get pain when I'm stressed, but usually (not always) tylenol helps. I wish I could afford massage! Maybe I can convince someone at my work that it's medically necessary (that's NOT going to happen). Thanks again so much for sharing. I really appreciate it.

Ask anything?
Ok Mom, when are we going to go shopping? I mean really, it's been a long time! I'm kidding...mostly. It has been a long time, I'd love to go window shopping in Vacaville.

Seriously, lately I've only been catching up with you by reading your blog (!) and I have one teeny tiny request if I can, I know it's totally NOT my decision or place, but if I may, Sat 2/6 is a jam packed 40th (SURPRISE) birthday party for Ellie...Wanna come?

Anyway, it's 1:30 am, raing cats, dogs and horses outside, better get some sleep so I can teach those adorable grandkids of yours in the morning!

I adore your blog...and I will admit...I am HORRRIBLE about commenting on people's blogs...I never seem to know what to say. =/ But yet, I blog and blog myself away...hmm..Maybe its cuz I am shy? I dunno...I cant think of any questions as of yet, but here in the lovely land of Aloha...it is only 830 AM...I got a WHOLE day to think of something...and I will...

Nikki, I totally understand what you are saying about not commenting very often. I was the same way at first. I still am to some degree. I don't always make a comment if I am uncomfortable giving advise or if I haven't had that experience yet, etc.

But the more you put yourself out there & comment, the more Follower's you will get, as they will start reading your blog too!! Hope you are feeling better after your fall!!

Well Anonymous (wink, wink),

I would love to go shopping with you. Just say what day & time. So long as it isn't on a day that we have something already planned, I would love to go!

As for Ellie's Surprise Birthday Party, we don't have anything planned yet that I am aware of. Is this invitation just for me or is Walt included too?

I just don't know if this is one of those girl parties in the day, or if it is after the hubbies get home & all are invited. But...so far it looks like I could make it. Is it at someones house or at a Restaurant? Let me know the details.

Give my adorable Grand Kids a kiss for me. PS, did you get any decent photos of me on Christmas Eve that you could shoot my way? I forgot to have someone take some photos of me with my camera!!

Oh I almost forgot. The date is not set in stone, but we are shooting for Walt's Dad's Memorial to be on Jan 29th at a Catholic Church on Arden Way in Sacramento. In case you didn't know, Walt's Dad was raised Catholic.

Did I mention that we asked for & had a Priest come to the Hospital at 1:30 am the night that Susan, Walt & I kept vigil (which was just about 6 hours before he died)? The Priest gave his Dad his last rights.

The Priest that came was really, really nice & did a lovely mini service right there in the Hospital room with Walt, Susan & I in attendance.

Don't worry Cara, it can be R rated too!! I am just one that rarely uses "really" foul language, but it doesn't bother me to hear it, just so long as it isn't being used in front of really young children!!!

Hiya Mom (I have to post anonymous because it won't let me post with my google account? don't know why...but you always know it's me!)

Anyway, funny we communicate this way..I'll have to shoot an email over in a little while about Ellie's party. It's a surprise so I can't say too much. It's on Sat mid afternoon-evening, all invited but all that will be there will have lots of kids and will be Christian based (so please no farting!!) Oh, and since it's Ellies 40th and she LOVES junk food thats just about all we are going to eat...it's all about her. I did talk "D" into having a salad and a veggie tray, but other than that, it's going to be a food fest of processed, don't tell your cardio doc what you are eating stuff. You know, the good stuff we are not supposed to eat! Gotta run an errand it's 12:15 am...another long but funny story I'll have to relate in an email...lova ya, Christa

Don't worry about the junk food. I will just have to be careful about what I eat & how much!! But with the Band, I can't eat too much in a sitting anyway, thank god!!

Will be waiting to hear from you.

Love Mom
