- I live in the greater Reno, Nevada area and I was Banded on November 19th, 2009 with the Lap Band. I'm 57 & retired due to Medical issues. However, I had complications with the Lap Band and had to have it removed in May 2012. I was approved for, and had Gastric Bypass Surgery on December 18th, 2012. I have a beautiful Daughter named Christa (39) & two beautiful Grand Children, Walker (13), & Emily (10). I also have a fantastic Step-Daughter, Kat (31) & a great Step-Son, Russ (27). My husband is my best friend, confidant &....well, you get the picture! He is everything to me.
