And The Story Continues...

Hey Ya'll,

Well, it has been a few days since I posted last.  I was working feverishly trying to transfer all the information from my old e-mail address, that had been hacked into last week.  Once I am sure that everything that I had going into it, has been changed to the new e-mail address, I will close the old one out!  And I can't wait!!

Walt came home from Sacramento yesterday, instead of today as we had a short break in the weather a day earlier than expected.  Just the night before he came home (Friday), we had another big snow storm here in the desert valley.  We got about 8 ins of snow overnight, which is a lot for here.  I woke up at about 6 am yesterday, and forced myself out of bed to take some photos.  Most of which I took through the windows as it was too cold to go outside!!  After all, I am not THAT CRAZY!! LOL  I will post a few of them at the end of the post.  Then I went back to bed.  :)

This morning, we woke up and realized that the temperatures had dropped to the low single digits overnight (possibly just above 0) and the water lines to the back of the RV had froze again!!  This hadn't happened since we had our first storm here right after we moved to Nevada!  So we opened up the cabinet doors, and setup a heater in front of them, to allow the warm air to start thawing the pipes out.  It took most of the day, but at least they thawed.  :)  We went back to the store today, and purchased another small heater, so that we can keep one on in the back bathroom at night on these really cold nights, to keep the water lines from freezing again!

We also did a lot of running around town today.  Right now, this is the only time I get out of the RV, since Walt has the Truck with him when he goes to Sacramento for work.  So until I can start to ride the Motorcycle, or Walt starts to ride it, and I have the Truck, then I am basically house bound while he is away.  And since I had a coupon from Joann's that I had to use or else lose it, plus if I didn't use it, they would stop sending me the coupons!!  Oh My!!  So of course we stopped in to see what I could buy.  If you remember what I said in an earlier post.  The Joann's here in Carson City (we haven't moved to Reno yet) is horrible.  They have almost NO YARN SELECTION!!  I am talking really little and very few colors!!  So Walt suggested that I check out the Crochet books.  I'm glad that I did.  I found one with a lot of great patterns in it, so we bought it at 40% off.  :)

We also were shopping around for a couple of small LCD TV's to put in the two Bedrooms.  The largest we can use is about 26", and that would totally fill the space, but hey, what guy doesn't want the largest TV that he can get???  LOL  We never really realized how hard it is to find a decent small TV, at a decent price!!  Most of the smaller TV's are cheaply made TV's from out of the Country, not a name brand.  And they weren't much less in price comparatively to the larger TV's!!  We found out that it isn't profitable, for the name brand TV manufactures to make small TV's.  So if they do, they don't really lower the price much if at all, as it costs about the same to make a small TV, as it is to make a larger one!  We can buy a 30"-32" TV for the price of a 19"-26", assuming it isn't a REALLY off brand!!  But we can't use one that large!  We already have a really nice 40" LCD TV that we currently can't use.

And get this, I have agreed to wake up at 4 am tomorrow, (remember when I used to go to bed at 4 am???) so that I can drive with Walt to Reno while he practices at the Truck Driving School.  I will probably take a pillow and try to catch a bit more sleep!  :)  Then I will read my Kindle until he is finished.  We will be driving up North out of Reno, back into California so that we can eat Lunch with Carolyn and Russ (Walt's Ex-Wife and his Son), and Betsy and Maria (Walt's Sister and Niece).

Then after Lunch, we will be going to where his Niece Maria, has a show going of her Photographs.  Apparently she is really talented, taking after her Grandfather and Grandmother (Walt's Parents).  I will try to remember to take my camera and get a photo of Maria by one of her Photographs.  Apparently she has already sold several of the Framed Photos.

And last but not least, I am expecting to be back in the Sacramento area for a few days in April.  If there are any Bandster's in the Sacramento area that would like to get together for Dinner, let me know.  Maybe we can arrainge a get together, if so leave me a comment or contact me at my e-mail address listed here in the blog.  Don't worry, it isn't the one that was hacked into last week!!!

Well.....it is getting late, about 12 midnight and I have to get up by 4 am, so I better start my nightly ritual to go to bed.  Till next time.....

Aloha My Friends  :)

Good to hear from you! I'm glad you're getting settled into your new RV life. It sounds like things will be better when the weather warms up!

Thanks Amanda, yes, once the weather calms down it should be nice....at least until the heat of Summer hits!!

Bonnie, I feel for you! And yes, we were supposed to get up at 4 am, but Walt overslept until 5 am. The problem is....I couldn't get to sleep until after 3:30 am!! So I had less than an hour and a half's sleep!
