Hey Ya'll,
Just a quick post to let you know what has been happening. First off though, I wanted to say that due to our current financial situation, I will not be able to attend the First Annual Boobs get together! However, I do consider myself one of the club, so I am proudly showing the Boobs Decal on my blog. However, if anyone thinks that since I am not actually attending the get together, that I am not qualified to show the decal, let me know and I will remove it from my side bar. But I do feel like one of the Boobs in my Heart. I truly wish that I could have attended. I am holding out hope that I will be able to attend the next get together with ya'll.
We went up to Reno last Friday the 16th for my 5th Fill and it does appear to have given me some Restriction, at least for now. We shall see how long it lasts!! But at least I know what Restriction feels like!! So far I have slimmed nearly once every day! The most embarrassing one being at a local small family owned Mexican Restaurant!
I could feel it coming on, but I knew that a woman was in the only bathroom! I was waiting for her to exit the bathroom, hoping nothing would occur before. I was doing well, when all of a sudden I felt the urge to burp. We all know that burping usually helps and means that the food is either moving down or getting ready to come up.
Well, this time it was coming up!! I started to burp and realized that it was slime. It kind of spewed out and I caught it in my hand! Luckily, it wasn't a huge amount (yet). But I am positive that a man sitting across the Restaurant facing me saw it!! I was horrified that someone saw me expel the slime!! Luckily at that time, the woman came out of the bathroom and I spent the next 30 minutes in there slimming!! I almost didn't make it to my Surgeon Appointment!!
Remember I told you that my Doctor (OBGYN) wanted me to get a second opinion on the Lump she found in my Breast? Well, because of our financial problems at the moment, we figured that since the Mammogram and Ultrasound came back ok, we didn't need to go to the Surgeon as well. Well, my Doctor called wanting to talk about it, and when I didn't return her call, she sent me a letter requesting I come in for a recheck. So we decided to go ahead and go back in. She said that the Lump was still there and she really felt that we should get the second opinion to be sure as the Mammogram/Ultrasound doesn't always pick up Breast Cancer.
So we agreed, and went in to the Surgeon Monday the 19th. He said that he felt it wasn't a true Lump, but (and I am not sure what he said) he said it was something like hardened fat from where the bra lies tightly under the Breasts. Or something like that. But since I have dense, lumpy Breasts, he wants me to come in again in 5 months for a recheck and another Mammogram/Ultrasound 5 months from then. Walt figures that he will probably want to check me every 6 months since I have a family history of Breast Cancer. But at least he feels the "Lump" is nothing to worry about. Whew!
Our next Doctor Appointment is for Walt on the 30th. Remember that I told you he was having some problems? Well, I never actually told you what was going on with him. Mainly because I wanted to wait until he felt ok with it being put out here in cyberspace, where any and all could see!
He has been having problems for some time (like years), but for a long time, we thought it was me! What has been happening is, when we make love, we found Blood. We assumed it was me for the longest time. It has been going on for several years (at least 2-3). At first it was just a small amount of blood, and not every time, so we weren't too concerned.
But lately, it has been happening every time we made love and the amount has been substantial (we even put a towel down on the bed to protect the sheets, and take the towel with us when we travel). We finally determined that the blood was in his Semen and only in his Semen, not in the Urine. He has been to the Doctor several times for it and the Doctor didn't think it was anything to be concerned with at first. But since it has continued and has gotten worse, our PCP decided to send him to a Urologist. The Urologist did some testing on Walt's blood and of course, every time that he goes in, they do a Urine test. There is NEVER any blood in the Urine! It is just in the Semen.
So the Urologist has had Walt on a Medication that was supposed to cause the bleeding to stop. But it hasn't and the Urologist said that he has never seen it continue after using this drug (especially after taking it for several months)!! He wanted to do a CT Scan, but the Insurance Company refused to approve it, saying there wasn't sufficient evidence that warranted the CT Scan! So he had Walt continue using the Drug, to no avail.
Now he has decided to send Walt to a Specialist in San Francisco. He figures that if the Specialist says the next step should be a CT Scan, then the Insurance can't turn it down! So we will be going to San Francisco on Friday the 30th. My biggest fear is that it could be Prostate Cancer, but Walt is under the impression that it isn't anything to worry about, but should be checked. Hopefully we will find out soon, I am definitely concerned but trying not to think the worst! Has anyone out there had this experience with their significant others?
Well, now that I have put everything out here that we are or have been concerned with, I guess I will go for now. Till next time...
Aloha My Friends :)

Being a BOOB has nothing to do with going to Chicago! You are most definitely a BOOB and hopefully you can attend a gathering in the future when things calm down are start to right themselves.
I hope Walt gets a good checkup on the 30th. It all seems like so much that you guys are dealing with right now. Life is what happens when you are making all those other plans, eh? Keep your chin up!
And that's good about the lump check-up. Sounds reasonable to keep checking periodically just to be sure it stays what it is.
You are in my thoughts and prayers as you and Walt face these challenges.
And the BOOBs will be eager to meet you when you can pull it off!
Well, not that I have any kind of official say, but my opinion is we're all BOOBS whether we go to Chicago or not. I wish you could go, but certainly understand the financial aspect. Hoping all goes well with Walt and it turns out to be nothing.
I agree! The BOOBS is for anyone who wants to join-I even think men can be part as they can just change the last B to Boys. We have a couple of people who don't have the band even. It isn't just Chicago but a group of us who are a fellowship. You are certainly in-no secret handshake needed.
I do hope all is well with Walt. I would have thought the urologist would have ordered a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Test. It is a simple blood test which if elevated might, and I mean might mean a risk of prostate cancer. Why don't you call your PCP and get a better explanation. I know those in the states make terrible comments about our healthcare here in Canada but really-all the stuff you are trying to have done would be 100% covered. I do hope your insurance comes through. I can't imagine not getting healthcare because of a company bureaucrat. Saying a little prayer that all will go well for you.
Back to BOOBS-I hope we get to have a gathering on the west coast too or maybe Vegas. I'd so like to meet you all. And not sure if you noticed that many of us said if we won the lottery we would all buy an RV and travel throughout the country-that is true freedom. Guess you'll be one drive ahead of us.
wow....well a BOOB is a BOOB with or without going to Chicago :-) Maybe next year things will be better!!
You will definitely be on my mind! I hope everything works out with your boobie and walts pepe :-)
so sorry about all that you and Walt have been going through..glad your second opinion was ok and following up every 6 months is not a bad thing. Hope they figure out what is wrong with Walt, i am sure you must be worried...
As far as BOOBS I know how you feel. I wish I could make it too but maybe next time...
Keep up the good work
Thank you everyone!!
Sandy Lee, I am pretty sure that Walt was given the PSA Test, and it was either within the normal range or only slightly above.
BOOBS are definately for everyone going or not!!
I hope that you both get a clean bill of health! I'm sorry, this must be very stressful.
Thank you Jenny!
BOOBS are for all of us! Whether we can be in Chicago or not.
I hope everything works out for your hubby. I will be sending good thoughts :)
Praying for ya'll. :)
I am glad the lump turned out to be nothing...I will keep Walt and you in my prayers for his issues...I like his positivity...tell him to bottle it and sell it...retirement would be NO issue then! :)
I think cuz we have boobs we can be in BOOBS...thats just my theory and I am stickin to it...
Ahh Deb. On the one hand I'm glad you found out what is up with Walter - but I'm thinking of you in what must be a stressful time. And I'm in the same boat - no BOOBS for me.. sigh. xxx
Thanks everyone!
I really hope that someday I will be able to make one of these Boobs gatherings so that I can meet all of you fantastic Boobs out there!!
Nikki, I really do hope that we will make it back to Hawaii while you are still stationed there so I can meet you!
Cara, the same goes for you! I really would like to meet you (as would Walt, your blog is one that he loves to read), and Australia is one of the Countries that we have always wanted to visit! So maybe someday we will make it there too!
Thanks for the comments on my blog-- I believe my shoulder/ neck pain are very much tied to sitting at my desk and the stress... but I appreciate your concerns.
I am keeping you in my mind in terms of your stress of late and I hope that you are doing well... hugs
Thanks Vanessa! I just thought that I would throw it out there in case you haven't thought of it. Because you do have at least some of the symptoms. Hope your shoulder/neck pain eases up!!
