Walt's OK!! :)

Daring Adventure

Hey Ya'll,

Sorry it has taken so long to post about our San Francisco trip to the Specialist.  But the trip was fantastic!!  One of the leading Ultrasound Specialists in the Country, if not the World did the Transrectal Ultrasound, and he said that he didn't see anything to worry about!!  No Cancer or Tumors!!  Which is great news, but on the other hand, now this means that we have to learn to live with the bleeding.  The only way to guarantee the bleeding to stop, would be for them to remove the Prostate.

And for Walt, this is not an option, since one of Walt's co-workers had Prostate Cancer 2 yrs ago and had to have the Prostate removed.  He hasn't been able to have sexual relations with his wife since.  So guess what?  This is not an option in Walt's mind!!  LOL

This trip, we had just enough time between the Test and the appointment with the Urologist, to eat lunch.  So we walked over to a small hole in the wall, Mexican Restaurant called El Burrito Express.  I had the best Enchiladas and Beans ever!!  At least they were the closest to my home made ones.  So if anyone is in San Francisco near the San Francisco Medical Center on Divisadero Street, and likes Mexican Food, then check them out.  It is located in the 1800 block on Divisadero Street.  And like I said, it is a hole in the wall, with just about 6 tables in it.  But well worth it.

After the last appointment with the Urologist, we decided to bite the bullet and start driving home immediately, instead of waiting until 7pm to miss the traffic.  We ended up detouring off the freeway at Vacaville and taking the scenic route the rest of the way home.  It was a nice drive through the country side and it only took us about 3.5 hrs to get home instead of the 4-5 hrs it probably would have taken if we had continued on the freeway.

Yesterday (Father's Day), we rode the bike over to my parents house and visited with them for a couple of hours.  Then we rode the bike to the Arco Arena in Sacramento, to check out a small RV Show going on there.  The Arco Arena is where the Kings Basketball Team plays their home games at.  And it is also where Concerts are played at as well.  I am NOT a Basketball fan, so no, I have never seen the Kings play!  However, I used to see one of them years ago when I first moved up to Northern Calif and worked in a Bank.  It was obvious that he was a Basketball player by his height!  But my co-workers also knew him and told me who he was!  LOL  So I have never seen them play, but I have seen a lot of Concerts there.

However, it was a bust going there.  It was sponsored by only one Company and not very many 5th Wheels were there.  They mostly had Motorhomes on display.  So we are hoping that the next RV Show, that will be at Cal Expo (which is the State Fair Grounds in Sacramento), will be a much better one to attend.  We attended it a few years ago and there were many different Dealer's there with literally hundreds of RV's for show.  So we are really hoping it is a big turn out like that again!!

Well, I need to go as we are on our way to meet our Daughter and SIL.  They are taking us to watch a River Cats Baseball game tonight.  If you watched the movie "The Ugly Truth", that is the stadium and team that they watched.  The River Cats is our local AAA team and this will be my first time to watch them play.

*We are back from the game and had a great time there!!  The Stadium is really nice and there wasn't a bad seat in the place.  Oh yea, the River Cat's won...4-0!

Well, I better go for now or I will never get this posted!!  LOL  Till next time....

Aloha My Friends  :)

SO happy to hear the great news!
My Dad had prostate cancer, had it removed and hasn't been able to have any sexual relations with my Mom! Sad but they have worked thru it!

Glad to know it's nothing terribly serious. You seem like such a close and loving couple, I'm sure you'll get through this without surgery! Good luck and thanks for keeping us posted.

Thank goodness for good news!

Thanks everyone!

Nella, yes, I think that the need for surgery was Walt's biggest fear! Since he knew what that would mean to him. So we are very happy that all is good and no surgery necessary!
