YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE!! LOL It is a cross between at least....4-5 different animals, including Birds, Rabbit and Deer!! If you look closely, you can see the very tall Tail Feather!! LOL They had this stuffed "Thing", sitting on the counter at the Restaurant we ate at the night of Russ's Graduation.....
Hey Ya'll,
Well, it has been a week since I posted last. And during this week, we have attended Walt's Son's Graduation from Jr College. He graduated with honors majoring in Mathematics, and we are very proud of him. Unfortunately, he didn't apply for a transfer to a four year College in time for the Fall semester. So he will continue to take classes at the Jr College until he can transfer. Part of the problem, is that he hasn't made a decision as to which of the Colleges he wants to attend. And he won't tell anyone which of the Colleges that he is interested in!! Walt is hoping that he will consider Berkeley, and Russ is hopeful that by transferring as a Math major, he will have a good chance of getting in. As right now, it is difficult to get in to Colleges here. But not too many students go in as a Math major.....
So we attended Russ's Graduation, and we could tell that he was proud of himself, as he usually doesn't like to take photos, etc. And we (Walt, Carolyn (Russ's mom) and myself) were concerned that he would take off his Cap and Gown before we could get out of the building after the ceremony, where he was waiting for us. But he was standing there, still dressed, and allowed us to take a few photos!! Some of which I am posting.
Before the ceremony, Carolyn took us out to dinner at a Restaurant that Russ chose. Unfortunately, where they live, the choice of Restaurants are VERY SLIM!!! And even the ones they have, are not very good.....what is funny, the one that Walt and I like the best is a Mexican Restaurant. If only we had gone there!! LOL The photo above, was taken at this Restaurant.
Tomorrow, we will be going back to where they live, as Russ had won a Math Scholarship this year. But his Calculus teacher wasn't informed of it in time to be able to let Russ know, so that we could all attend the Scholarship Ceremony!! So his Calculus Instructor is taking Russ, Carolyn, Walt and I to a local Pizza place, so that she could give him his award in front of his family!
This week, Walt was supposed to go down to Sacramento for work yesterday, and not come back until at least tomorrow. But he forgot about Russ's Pizza lunch, so he come back tonight so that he can be there for Russ tomorrow too.
So while Walt was gone yesterday, I took the Bike out to go shopping!! I had a good time, and got a lot of looks, and a few questions from people whenever I parked somewhere. I even had another Bike rider, make sure that I saw him wave to me, before he turned off into a shopping center. He had been following me up to that point!! LOL I was supposed to ride down to Carson City, so that I could pay our Storage Unit for the month. But the winds here have been fairly stiff. At least too high for me to be comfortable to ride that far on the Bike. We have had winds of 20-30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph!! So I chose to stick fairly close to home, and rode the side streets, staying off the highways, where I would be more susceptible to the high winds.
So....I guess that I should go for now. I am getting ready to crochet again. I currently have 4 projects in the works....One is for my daughter, another is for our friend Aggie for her Retirement, another is for my Mother In Law, and the other is for me!! Till next time.....
*****I just wanted to say that since I originally typed this, I have finished my Daughter's project. I can't post photos of it yet, since she does read my Blog!! But it is something that I have never made before. I can't wait to give it to her, I hope that she likes it too.....*****
